Product Donations

We're delighted when our products go to the people who need them most. A majority of our products are perishable and require specific food handling, storage and transportation arrangements and when you add the geographic logistics involved with moving the product between the many different locations where the products are produced, we have decided the best way to get them to the people who need them most is to let the experts manage it.

Sara Lee makes all of its food product donations to America’s Second Harvest, a nonprofit agency funded by the Foundation. America’s Second Harvest is a national organization which ensures that our products are safely and efficiently distributed by local food banks and human care agencies across the country. That means we do not make one-time gifts of products for individual events.
